Yes it is. Spelling is not a sport its a competition. You spell words to get to the finals and win. It doesn’t include any physical stress. Sports can be a competition, but not all competitions can be sports.
How will you find your happy place within a CSAP prompt?
You would make it your own. You would find a way to relate it to yourself and something you like.
I believe that if all these things hadn’t happened we would be a lot more grateful for what we have. We would have more respect for our parents who work hard to provide food and shelter and warmth for us. Some teenagers these days are so lucky but they still want more. They look at the kids in Africa and Haiti who don’t have computers and are lucky to have pencils and they push it aside. It doesn’t make sense. Being in the Academy of Discovery and having the classes work to get the money for our computers have showed us that people still reject change and they still think its not a good idea for kids to have these. No offense to The Academy but I think that money we used to get our computers could have been used to help get kids who need them laptops. Kids who are still stuck in the “tree bark, pencil” age. We are lucky enough and grateful enough to have what we have.
I read this one post, Average Just Doesnt Cut It Anymore, on Students 2.0. This was my comment: I totally agree with it. I mean I may only be in middle school but for me this is a challenge. Some of the kids in my class make it seem like it comes naturally to them. I am in a GT classroom so its even worse. Looking at the kids around me I don’t think its fair that they can look at a problem and intently have it solved. I guess to other people i seem like a smart kid, but following a smart sister and being around all of these extremely smart people it makes me feel like I’m not good enough.
Why is it so easy to persecute someone for their beliefs?
I think it is so easy to persecute someone else because it is easier then accepting them, especially when they go against your own beliefs. In life it is easier to reject things then to accept them. People don’t like change, its different and makes people go outside their comfort zone.
What is it about someone’s writing that makes it distinct from another’s writing (what makes it unique)?
Each person has their own individual “voice” in their writing. Whether it’s sentence formating or if its a personal story. This is how I would look at peoples own distinct writing styles.
